The one promise a pest inspector must never make

The physical problem
Termites eat the inside of a member and leave the surface intact. A visual inspection meets the surface.
What the standard therefore permits
AS 4349.3 provides for inspecting and reporting on what can be reached. It does not provide a mechanism for certifying absence.
What a good report contains instead
Evidence located, conducive conditions itemised, and every area that could not be reached named with its reason.
The commercial tell
An inspector offering a guarantee is either misunderstanding their own standard or selling you something else.
What genuinely reduces risk
Inspecting on a cycle, clearing the conditions that invite them in, and a management system installed by someone licensed to install it.
